i don't think the Jets are gonna take Fields just to take another QB - i think it's still gonna be Darnold and they're gonna trade out of the #2 to get a bunch of other picks for it.

 

Shad Khan is the HC and the GM.

Meyer is a figurehead. Saleh is the DC.

 

Hopefully Urban Meyer doesn't believe this in his heart because it will fail.

If the Jets hire Saleh and one of the SF assistants, I think they'll bring in Beathard/Mullens and draft a QB at 2.

GM hiring timing is weird in general. There isn’t a “good time”, but 1 month before free agency and 3 months before the draft seems like a hard turnaround. That’d be like hiring a head coach right before training camp — like sure, I guess you could, but wouldn’t you want more time to prepare?
