When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

    1) we have a CLEARLY better line and after this draft likely better weapons than Cincy. The defense that needs you to score 30 is a thing but, as you've argued for Miami, we also have a ton of draft picks to address that.

    2) Atlanta is an aging team. If i'm bringing a new regime somewhere, there's value to establishing habits for my scheme with new players instead of trying to teach an old dog new tricks. Ryan and Jones aren't getting any younger and there's probably a lot more pressure in ATL to get a ring out of their last few years.

    3) You not only have less freedom in terms of scheme and personnel in ATL because of the established veterans, but the bar is higher - you gotta basically be better than Mike Shanahan was in Atlanta or you're just another coach who's wasting Julio's talent. In Jacksonville.... bringing them back to the playoff CONVERSATION is enough to keep your job.

I agree with your AFC / NFC argument but disagree with you saying low key Miami / Cleveland / Tennessee etc are perennial playoff "locks". They're good teams right now but they don't scare me off with Trevor Lawrence. That's why you draft TLaw, to not be fuckin scared of the other team having a good QB and a playoff defense, because you can put up points and stay in the game regardless. Chiefs are really the only team I think you have to hope to get lucky to beat in the playoffs.

Joe Douglas didn’t draft Sam Darnold. He’s also said that the new coach picks the QB.

Justin Fields and Zach Wilson are not elite QB prospects.

They're good ones though and certainly better than Darnold

The jets seem to want to interview other candidates but manish and some other folks are creating a twitter frenzy to try force their hand immediately, it’s ridiculous lol hope they don’t feel pressured to have to choose Bobert now.

It's supposedly between Saleh and Arthur Smith, but the Jets haven't scheduled a second interview with Smith...

Saleh sounds like the guy and he's meeting with Christopher Johnson this morning.

Arthur Smith? What? That’s wild. I was trying to find who was saying the jets were hiring saleh and the deal is done etc. for awhile and of course, it turned out it was coming from manish lol everyone else was saying they wanted to meet with a few other candidates, didn’t see smith mentioned much at all. Like I said, if he’s the top coach for them irrelevant, it’s just annoying that that idiot was able to convince fans who the coach would be ahead of time.

Falcons job is a mess and the team is not in a good place. It's nice in the sense of "You won't go 1-15" to start your career, but it's going to be much harder long-term than if we take Fields or Wilson.

I low-key think the Chargers job is the best one available, and the Falcons might be the worst.

    I don't think it's even low-key.

    Chargers Perks:
    LA
Young and upcoming QB in Herbert
Defensive Studs in Bosa and Derwin
    Brand new facilities
Far less scrutiny than some of the other markets

    Gimme that ALL DAY

I think the Chargers job is easily the best one available. Jags is a relatively close 2nd but there's still some unknown there, everyone is assuming it's all gonna be roses next season with Trevor. I think Eagles and Jets are tied for worst, but Eagles might win out because of the nightmarish Wentz/Hurts situation.

The Eagles and Jets are not worse than Houston as long as Easterby is there.

There’s probably like 80% chance the chargers are getting daboll already, especially if the jets aren’t getting another interview. Which is good for them, love that they interviewed garrett because norv recommended him tho lol

it's a fair point - no first round pick and cap nightmares, but, assuming deshaun remains with the team, having him alone i think propels the job over the jets and eagles.

No one can get a second interview with Daboll due to COVID protocols. He can't interview in person until the Bills are eliminated.

Local Detroit sports radio guy is saying the Lions made an offer to Kevin Colbert and that it seems likely to happen?

I'm super skeptical but uh holy shit if that actually happens. This guy hasn't really thrown bullshit rumors around ever so idk
