Derrick Henry is quite possibly the best pure running back of all-time.

He cannot replicate what he has in that kind of player.

 

If they trade him to the Pats*, Goodell needs to investigate those franchises for collusion.

 

If the Pats trade for Watson the Texans need to fold as an organization, plain and simple. There's no package of picks+players they can put together that would come close to the value of what the Dolphins or Jets could offer.

He listed a guy who was one of the greatest RBs of all time but not a pure runner, a guy who is laughable, and then a guy who is Frank Gore on a better team.

 

Hard to compare Henry to the all time greats

Best case, he’s Adrian Peterson-esque in 5+ years. Worst case, he’s Chris Johnson on paper with an opposite build and skill set. Both are great

Henry has potential to be ONE of the top 10 greats but if you’re gonna start putting him above Walter Payton and shit this early that’s jumping the gun

and also not taking eras into account. The Titans are playing power football in a league that is mostly practicing sub packages. Different defensive challenge than doing it in the 80s and 90s when that’s what the league was about.

Im not gonna restrict this debate to one specific kind of running the ball. And in the scenario you brought up, Bettis was one of the best, not “laughable” lol

 

Don't look at NFL statistics. That's not what I'm talking about. It's blatantly obvious that Derrick Henry isn't the best NFL RB ever or close to it.

I'm just saying that if you had to build a running back, he's the prototype. And I also agree that Adrian Peterson is the only other prospect that comes close.

No way in hell would anyone take a sloppy fat Jerome Bettis over Derrick Henry.
