Apparently the Eagles reached out to Lincoln Riley already and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

 

15 things that are more important this offseason than a kicking competition:
1) who is the starting QB next year?
2) do you re-sign TY? If not, how do you address WR1?
3) is Castonzo coming back? If not, how do you address LT?
4) is Houston coming back? If not, how do you address the lead edge rush spot?
5) what’s up with Rhodes? Do you need a new CB1 or is he coming back?
6) the LB room can probably afford to lose Anthony Walker and play Okereke more, but who do you draft in the middle rounds to be the next developmental LB?
7) there are like 3 other expiring contracts on the defensive line, mostly the run stoppers. Do you re-sign them or sign someone else?
8) Le’Raven Clark and Chaz Green are dreadful and cannot be re-signed. Maybe you double dip drafting OTs or maybe you sign a vet?
9) depth behind Moore and Ya-Sin at CB under contract is basically non-existent. How do you round out the CB room?
10) can you bring Marlon Mack back for cheap?
11) Jack Doyle was awesome in the playoff game, but might not be worth the extension he signed and has relatively little guaranteed money left. Can you improve the TE1 position with this cap space?
12) how do you round out the back end of the WR room behind Pittman, Campbell, and Pascal?
13) you probably need a third safety behind the two starters so that Tavon Wilson isn’t starting important games for you next year
14) is Eason adequate enough to be the backup QB next year? If not, how do you replace Brissett?
15) ok I lied the kicker competition between Hot Rod and a UDFA can go here

Worth noting their playoff records during that time too:

Browns until yesterday: 0-1 since 1994

Bengals: 0-7 since 1990 (all under Lewis)

Lions: 0-7 (mixed all around)

So the Browns were truly the kings of Sadness. Lions probably righfully claim the mantle now, though, Cincy literally should have won a playoff game in 2016 but for Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones. Bengals have never been a likeable team though, so fuck em

 

The dolphins may not be able to trade down if they want smith haha

 

They won't. I think the Eagles or Lions are a lock for him.

 

Raiders probably gonna make a strong run at that crown, btw. A divsion with Herbert and Mahomes for the next decade + paying Gruden $10mil/yr to not make the playoffs is a real, real strong resume for Sadness.

the more i watch him the more I'm astounded that we have a class where he might not even be the best WR. But Devonta has history with Smith, that's the obvious pick imo.

Tua needs quick twitch guys that get open immediately so he can carve up defenses with his decision making
