I don't think Indy is going to be able to draft Trask or Jones in the 2nd. You've got Ben one year out and Brees probably setting sail at the end of this year. Plus Chicago, New England, etc... If Indy wants one of those guys, it's gonna be in the 1st.

Seeing them trade Hopkins hurt a lot, seeing them trade Watson will kill the franchise in this city

there’s no coming back from that

may as well move the franchise to another city again

Putting Watson in an actual decent spot for success??? He deserves it.

As embarassing as it'd be...if you're the new Texans GM and convinced Watson wont play for you, thats not a terrible outcome.

Get the Dolphins to give you Tua and the remaining Tunsil picks (#3 and #36), and suddenly the Texans have Tua, Tunsil, potentially Sewell (or multiple picks as they trade down to a team that wants Wilson/Fields/etc), and that 2nd rounder back. Compared to most other trades (which would involve 2022 and/or 2023 picks)...you could at least lie to yourself its a wash.

And the money they save from Watson's cap number dropping down to Tua's might let them keep Fuller.

    literally name your price, Texans

    The rivalry is back on

no animosity as far as I know between Colts and Hilton. I don’t know where the contracts will come out, but I’d guess Hilton would want at least 10M per year on a multi-year contract. Not sure if they’d prefer paying a little more to get someone like a Godwin or a Golladay, or a similar amount for someone with upside but less of a track record like a DJ Moore

On the list you sent of QBs, you obviously get Dak if there’s a way to do so. Most of the maybe better options come via trade. On its face, Stafford is a better option than Phil IMO. Probably not so much better that you move first round picks to make it happen, but if the price is right, that’s probably one example. Wentz has a long-term upside that Phil doesn’t have, and you can’t reasonably keep both contracts on the books, so that’s another potential example. Darnold and Rivers could probably coexist for a year, as could Rivers and a first round QB that they don’t want to start immediately. So I think it’s a solid “we’ll see” with Rivers as a solid fallback option
