Not you specifically, people online losing their minds over it. And I don’t really buy ‘bulletin board’ material. If players or teams need something more to want to try to win, then that’s just lame on their own part.

I agree, even if Im throwing out trade ideas. Maybe these guys really are so high on themselves that they think they can trade Watson and build from scratch...but, I cant imagine any GM with a top 5 QB trading him as his first move. And I cant imagine Caserio left NE to finally take a job after like a decade just to get rid of a franchise QB after watching NE struggle without one.

I think its a terrible model for every QB to try to have Tom Brady's power to dictate personnel, coaches, scheme, etc...but, not being honest with your franchise QB is ALWAYS gonna backfire.

If you're not actually gonna give him a say, tell him.

 

I think if you want to call Star QBs the “face of the franchise” it may not be awful to get their input on what the rest of the body looks like.

I mean, when you see thinks like Haskins, you hear “a QB is basically the CEO” k, well if that’s the standard let’s talk hiring...

 

For real...if the motivation you need for the first playoff game in 19 years is a quote from a guy who wasnt even in kindergarten yet when that game happened, you were gonna get blown out 45-0 nothing to begin with.
