Honest question: Why are ESPN already doing mock drafts, four months before and a month before the picks are determined?

 

The first 18 are locked in and #content.

 

They’ve been doing mocks since the last draft ended lol

 

A) they do mock drafts all year. There are sites that are basically solely dedicated to the draft and mock drafting
B) its a good way to keep fans of teams who are eliminated coming back to your site
C) as someone else mentioned, the top 18 picks are locked in already.

Absolutely no buzz about any of the college coaches for NFL HC job.

Haven't heard anything about Fitzgerald, Campbell, or Riley being involved in interviews. Urban Meyer doesn't really count because he's been away from the game.

Have to wonder if there are some "secret" interviews going down to protect recruiting classes and underclassman.

I don't know about that. We knew about Matt Rhule almost instantly and he ended up going back to Baylor because Mike Maccagnan was incompetent.

NYJ Twitter has some nosy ass fans though, so maybe that's how it got leaked. It's obviously a lot easier to keep things closer to the chest with COVID protocols in place.

 

Maybe rhules agent was hoping it would boost his chances for an nfl job, which I think it definitely did. There were radio show hosts laughing at the idea rhule was interviewing for the giants job the year prior, that and the outstanding year the team had really helped change the perception of him imo
