In all fairness, I do think Tua deserves some time, it was a weird offseason AND he was unhealthy. That said, if they can get real value for him, and take Fields, I might do it.

I understand the strategy of swinging until you hit on a QB, but Miami has so much draft capital that they could try to salvage Tua, and if it doesn't work out, they can cut bait and their offense will likely be much further along for the next QB.

we're already talking about salvaging Tua?

I agree with all of this. I'm not saying they should dump Tua for whatever they can. But if a team like the Steelers, Bucs, Colts, or Football Team come calling with a first for Tua, I would be thinking about it.

Do I think Tua is good? No.
Do I think the Dolphins should ignore calls for him? No.

its kind of nuts IMO...its like people forget that he was great in the Cardinals game, that he brought them back to win the Patriots game, and nearly brought them back to win the Chiefs game. He was bad against Denver and not good against Vegas. No one is disputing that.

in the game yesterday, the receivers legitimately dropped like 10 passes and I am not exaggerating. Parker fell down on a simple 5 yard slant pattern which led to a pick 6 and on the 2nd INT, Bowden deflected a ball in the air right to a Bills player.

I posted the stats yesterday, but according to Pro Football Reference:

Dolphins receivers had the 3rd most drops and were 27th in YAC.
Dolphins running backs were dead last in yards after contact, and third lowest yards per carry.

11 dropped passes actually! Was awful.

if I had it my way, they would trade down a few slots with a team like Carolina and pick up a 2nd and maybe a 2nd next year and then pick one of Devonta Smith or Jamarr Chase

The Dolphins need to think about getting rid of Tua but the jets need to think about keeping Darnold cause "how could a QB succeed in that environment" is at best hilarious and at worst transparent as fuck.

The New England Patriots are prepared to make you a very aggressive offer for Matt Ryan. Now, I'd need to go to my manager for approval, this is kinda crazy, but I bet I could get you a 6th round pick for him. But, I'd say yes soon before I have my morning coffee and realize how crazy of an offer I'm making.
