I mean do you not have flashbacks of the Eagles signing both Nnamdi Asomugha and Asante Samuel that one year and both of them sucking?

Well then the Eagles could always just sit out of free agency and rely on Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas, Avonte Maddox, and/or a rookie to shore up the position. I don’t know what you think, but I think that would be a disaster. Perhaps they should bring back Ronald Darby and/or Jalen Mills? Nah, they’ve been bad too.

Just because signing a FA corner hasn’t worked out for them before doesn’t mean it can’t work out in the future. Eagles gotta keep taking shots or they can continue to have a shit ass secondary. If Jones doesn’t work out, I won’t be faulting them for trying.

I wanted us to sign Malik Jackson, Andrew Norwell and Julius Thomas before the fact too *shrug* none of them ended up coming CLOSE to being worth their contract

 

AJ Bouye and Calais Campbell are the only Caldwell FA signings I’ve ever liked. Literally. He’s signed like 20 of them. And even then Bouye cost too much, he wasn’t more valuable to the team than Campbell and he got a good chunk more.

DJ Hayden was an alright value I guess but that’s it.
