not true. Chad Pennington was better than any QB we’ve had

Vinny Testaverde was 90s but I also think he was pretty solid for the era

 

I honestly think Brunell benefitted from elite weapons. And he only actually put up elite numbers with them for like one or two seasons.

he threw to his left over 70% of the time. Good arm but was kinda predictable. The ability to throw on the run was probably his best attribute but it also hurt his durability, hence why he sucked by the year 2000.

 

Fun Fact - Blake Bortles has more touchdowns than Chad Pennington

 

That literally doesn’t mean anything lol. We all know Bortles did most of that in garbage time.

 

@CarpetElf Pennington also holds the record for highest career completion percentage of any quarterback, I’m almost positive

*for all retired QBs. There are like 4-5 QBs today who have better comp% but it’s also a very different era of football that is much more pass heavy. Pennington’s 66% was unheard of before him.
