This was yesterday actually, but glad it’s getting press outside the state since it’s barely getting any here.

  3. Does the nfl offer any support or do they just leave them to figure it out themselves

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

I thought I read the nfl does offer a surprising amount of support. I know most employers offer none. You have issues or fail a drug test in most places and you’re done, doesn’t even matter if it impacted your job performance. If someone who comes over to your home is even seen smoking marijuana you can lose all public housing benefits, which for most people in that situation means they’re homeless. This country has so little empathy.

I believe it is team-to-team, much in the way that things like free private drivers to the club, etc are offered by most teams. However, I believe the NFL has generally been pretty good about helping out players while they are a part of the league; I suspect largely because its much cheaper than to take the major PR hit of a Gordon, etc.

Gordon's story is just also so crazy; he was nearly a decade into abusing drugs before he even hit the NFL, was selling weed during college, etc...part of me thinks maybe if the NFL didnt give a damn about weed he might have been able to kick it (the money + steady nature of the season), but, he talks about taking shots before practice and games and shit.

Gordon told GQ he had a pregame ritual where he would take bong rips and/or shots of Grand Marnier or whiskey before kick-off. “I would drink probably like half a glass, or a couple shots to try and warm my system up,” he said. “To get the motor running. That’s what I would do for games.” Gordon estimated he had something in his system for “probably every game of [his] career,” including those in college.

Looking at the Browns do or die playoff scenario and it doesn’t seem that unlikely based on the matchups.

I'm greedy and want the AFC North but man, oh man, I'd be shitting myself if it turns into us being 11-5 and playing in a must-win week 17 vs the Steelers to be AFC North champs or bust.

Best case scenario is Dolphins just lose Saturday and we're (likely) in no matter what, but I honestly don't see the Dolphins or Ravens losing again this season and if the Colts beat the Steelers Sunday, they aren't losing to the Jags in Week 17. Titans ain't losing to the Texans in 17 either.

I feel a "typical Cleveland" coming...

    there is one way out

Presuming Pittsburgh loses in the first round of the playoffs, there might be hope for a QB. Maybe.

  15. Steelers should just concede the division to the Browns. Rest all starters the next two weeks.

In this scenario the browns would need to lose to the Jets as well.

Not totally correct. Browns would make it so long as they beat the Jets and the Steelers beat the Colts. They could then lose vs the Steelers and it wouldn't matter. That's why Browns fans are in a huge conundrum this week. The Steelers/Colts game, in a way, is a win-win situation for the Browns (assuming they beat the Jets). If steelers win, Browns clinch. If Colts win, Browns play for the AFC North next weekend (and then miss the playoffs if everyone else wins out)

Browns clinch this week with a win against the Jets AND a loss by either the Dolphins, Colts or Ravens.
