Potentially hot take: I enjoy working the time between Christmas and New Years because I get a lot more done

I also used to have a job where I was forced to not work and use vacation time for that period so maybe I am just happy I don't have to do that anymore

Same, opened them like 2 weeks ago and dont regret it one bit. Especially since a bunch of our stuff was cold weather clothing Ive been putting to use here in Iowa.

And of course my brother-in-laws who were quarantining at the in-laws cabin, one of them just tested positive...so they both just drove 12+ hours to spend a week not with their family to get stuck quarantining there for 10 days and then drive home having not seen family

It was great! She claims to miss seeing gifts under the tree so I got a bunch for our dog to put under there. It's been relieving honestly vs the anxiety of waiting, etc. plus like you said, I've gotten use out of my gifts even earlier.
