Also I know it came up recently, but we don’t give @CarpetElf quite enough crap for being adamantly opposed to Justin Herbert landing in Jacksonville to be the QB of the future in two separate draft cycles

 

Would Herbert be a rookie sensation without an offensive minded coach and an elite WR/TE duo? Or if he came out a year earlier? Would also still rather have Josh Allen and Justin Fields.

 

Why would you need Justin Fields AND Josh Allen??? :D

I’m not sure — on the one hand, I’m very in on the idea that rookie contract QB success hinges more on the team they land on than the QB themselves, as long as they have a baseline level of talent. On the other hand, Jay Gruden has been pretty good for you guys, yeah? And Chark and Shenault isn’t too shabby of a WR core

 

That's bananas. First off, no coach on that staff should be employed anymore. Second off, Herbert / Sewell >>>>>> Allen / Fields

 

Admit that it looks like you were wrong on Herbert. Watching him in college that staff never let him do a single thing. He's got it.

 

I've already admitted I'm wrong on Herbert multiple times. I still dont think he'd have the same success hes having this year if he was in Jacksonville last year.
