still nah. Matt Ryan so fucking expensive and he honestly gets looked at through rose colored glasses. He’s horribly inconsistent and yet everyone still treats him like “IDK MAYBE HES TOP 10?”

The times when he’s putting up “elite numbers” I really think it’s more so just, he’s “kinda good” and it’s Atlanta as a TEAM that was really good. Ryan is a clear example of a QB who does not elevate that squad, they elevate him. But now he gets paid too much to have a complete team.

 

I was guilty of it too. A few years back I thought Ryan was better than Stafford. Now that I know more about how much team chemistry impacts QB performance, my opinion of both QBs flipped.

Ryan only does well when his supporting cast is near-perfect, and he’s been fortunate to have that a few seasons of his career. Stafford, meanwhile, has been pulling strong numbers out of a half built team his entire career.
