I've BEEN saying the Falcons need a full tear-down but nobody agreed. It was and is a mess.

 

Yeah, having this take while working at a bar in Atlanta led to....mixed results.

 

The Falcons have drafted 1 good player since 2017 and it was a WR.

 

They drafted maybe four this year.

 

Instead they are gonna Steelers' it, where they restructure Julio and Matthews and someone else and just keep kicking the can down the road, because the alternative is legit a 2-3 year nightmare.

They have $140mil in cap hit to the same 6 guys in 2022 (all very cuttable by then, but still)

 

Terrell has been very up and down at best, Davidson / Hennessy are basically non factors, Mykal Walker is doing okay but he's our nickel LBer and teams have been exploiting him. The tackles he doesn't make are more important than the ones he does, the punter sucks, and Hawkins is a special teams guy.

 

I like Davidson and Hennessy and think they'll develop well.

 

I hope so my guy. I think they need to walk away with a plan and a fresh thinking coach / GM combo.

It goes with what Preppy was saying, not embracing a full rebuild and trying to salvage what they got.

 

I'm not going to predict anything but my father Jeauxsph Brady being the next Jags head coach but it would make a lot of sense for Pete Carmichael to end up in Jacksonville.

 

If the Chargers trade up, it'll be for Sewell, and the Bengals will spitefully trade down and let Carolina steal Fields from Jacksonville. So no thank you.
