You could make a good argument for the Eagles, Pats or Jets as the team with the worst skill position group, but I do feel there is untapped potential in a lot of the Eagles players (although there probably is in the other two teams as well)

yea honestly i think even ertz numbers are helped by that. idk the exact numbers or anything and i might be talking out of my ass here but after years of being forced to watch eagles games cuz of where i live its always felt like wentz heavily favors the te's especially down the middle, hence ertz gets the shit kicked out of him every year. does he not have viable weapons at wideout or is he just unable to read secondaries well enough while he's holding onto the ball way too long? wentz has always seemed kind of one dimensional to me in that way and maybe everyone just figured him out after a year or 2 and he hasnt been able to adapt.

I rooted for the Pats for a long time because of the Tom Brady/Michigan connection and was the only person in my 4th grade class who thought they would/wanted them to beat the Rams. Also, not Patriots, but the Tigers were absolutely abysmal in the late 90s/early 00s so I started rooting for the Red Sox because Nomar was my favorite player. Torn between wanting the Sox to beat the Yankees/break the curse in 04 and being very offended that they traded my favorite player to the Cubs.

Weird to think of what a depressing, underdog sports city Boston was given the last 20 years, but I was all in from like 2000-2006 when the Tigers and Lions struggled, and it was fun.

Man, I LOVED Nomar growing up. It makes me sad that generation of Boston sports is forgotten because of everything that came after them but Nomar and Mo Vaughn and Antoine Walker and Drew Bledsoe played a really big part and taking the city from abysmal to at least on the right path.

One year awhile ago the Heat played the Pistons in Detroit and I sat near Antoine Walker at a Tiger game. He was nice to everyone who bothered him.
