The plan was to tentatively fly to Pittsburgh later Monday night, but more and more players were voicing their opposition to such an arrangement. They were concerned that the organization had gone eight consecutive days with positive COVID-19 tests. They were uncomfortable with the safety risks of having to play an NFL game against their fiercest rival without having a legitimate practice or conditioning session in over a week.

Players coordinated a call with NFLPA representatives Monday to discuss their options and their concerns about keeping the game Tuesday night. Several players spoke on the call, and a common refrain was the lack of practice time before playing in a game and a fear of the injuries that could result from going from an extended period of limited physical activity to playing in a game.

The NFL has maintained that only health and safety would factor in postponements as the league played through the pandemic. It didn’t matter that the Ravens would be short-handed and need to lean heavily on backups and practice squad call-ups in some spots. The Ravens players felt this was a safety issue because they’d be at risk of injury with so little time to prepare physically for an NFL game.

 

That this isnt the only sentence explanation is insanity. They have had a Titans level outbreak and you cannot expect that another few players are gonna pop positive by the end of the week. Its just inevitable...we're only a week out of their first positive. So suddenly you also put at risk a 10-0 team of catching it from playing the game against that team having the outbreak.

The practice stuff is their own fault, get your coaches shit together and you can practice without wild spread.
