Please make them forfeit. Eliminating the first seed bye week in the playoffs or modifying the playoffs should not be on the table for a team that fucked up (I know it’s supposedly only one coach, but that’s still an internal fuck up).

So will Lamar Jackson be out multiple weeks since he has a positive test. Will they enforce a 14 day quarantine?

 

They're gonna reschedule it to a week 18 and screw over the rest of the AFC playoff contenders because the Steelers will have #1 clinched by then and will rest their starters

They should protest if they move the game. Like legitimately if Baltimore gets in because of this and Miami is eliminated, Miami should just show up and the other team should play them instead

Pittsburgh will flip if they have a Sunday game moved up to a Thursday.

 

Not if the Ravens forfeit this week and Steelers end up getting the extended break they deserve.

 

If we dont play Sunday, I get it. Play the TNF game next week (so, getting basically two 10-day weeks), and the Ravens forfeit their Steelers game but can still potentially play next week on Sunday. Sucks for the Skins, really, who dont get a break like they expected.

I dont believe the NFL has a 14 day quarantine, if memory serves. Cam Newton was like 11 days between positive test and being activated.

edit: Yep, here's the NFL protocol. So, why moving that TNF game to Sunday is almost 100% gonna happen (even if they dont move the Steelers game to thursday)

Following a positive test, if the player is asymptomatic, he can return once:

• 10 days have passed since the initial positive test; OR
• Five days have passed since the initial positive test and the player receives two consecutive negative PCR virus tests at least 24 hours apart within that five-day period

Following a positive test, if the player demonstrates symptoms, he can return when:

• At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared; AND
• At least 72 hours have passed since he last experienced symptoms

In either case, a player who tests positive must be cleared by his team's head physician before returning.

If Lamar is asymptomatic, they could even move the game to like Tuesday and he might be cleared to play

 

I think the only answer is to dissolve the Ravens entirely, erase any history of them, and put their whiny coach in a timeless prison cube

How much time before the game do they need to make a decision. I would assume baltimore would travel tomorrow even though it's only a few hour drive.

 

make the ravens play with whoever they have. Can they move the game to like Monday or Tuesday? Move the Ravens game back to Sunday.... and that's it? Or something like that. I'm not into forfeit but im DEFINITELY not into expanding playoffs anymore than it already is (i already threw a tantrum when they added a 7th team).

 

It’s not the player’s call though. Baltimore’s first & third string QBs are in Covid Protocol, essentially leaving RG3 with the team’s practice squad QB. This game isn’t happening.

 

Ravens play next Thursday, so it’s Sunday or nothing

 

or put a week 18 into place...and push everything back a week. There's little to no fans in a lot of these stadiums so the logistics of all this shouldn't be TOO hard

Yeah you can't push this game to week 18 and make the steelers play when they should potentially have a bye. You'd have to push the playoffs back a week.
