Absolutely best case scenario, if he's a freak fast healer, etc...is that he'll be questionable right up until Week 1 but play. And obviously, the worst case is he doesnt get healed til the Bengals are already 2-6 or worse and there's no reason to risk him.

Strikes me as an RGIII thing too where losing the whole offseason of preparation really hurts the ability to progress as well

Honestly, this whole thing reminds me of Stafford's initial two seasons with the Lions. Some promise, then injuries derailing a season and a half.

He came back that third season and was a man possessed. Burrow will take some time to recover for sure, and the injuries aren't the same at all, but I expect in Burrow's third year, he'll be killing it, and potentially will have more help around him and an o-line that can actually protect him.
