Herbert ripping up every team he faces?

Justin Herbert is an extremely smart individual with all the physical tools necessary to be a good NFL qb, but he was "aloof" or whatever word you wanna use according to NFL draft experts. He missed throws and seemed tentative, but maybe more should have been put into how terrible the coaches and receivers were during his tenure there. I'm surprised as everyone, but maybe going forward we shouldn't judge people based off their quiet personalities. Herbert is clearly legit (it is really hard to evaluate college QBs though so I get it).

 

I didn't factor his personality into it at all. I just didn't think the coaches at Oregon were misusing him as much as they actually were. Most of the time when a QB is throwing screen after screen there's a reason for it. But yeah, Herbert and Allen have made me reconsider how I evaluate QBs.

 

I’m most surprised that the chargers ol stinks and he still looks awesome despite it. I’m curious what happens with the chargers coaching staff, there’s no way it stays as is.

 

The Chargers are my favorite to land Penei Sewell and let me tell you, I hate that.

Eh I’ve always liked Cam but not sure I’d say he’s a nice guy. There’s the “females” comment and some other iffy stuff he’s said.

Matthew Stafford seems nice though. He got pretty vocal about BLM which I did not expect a Texas born and raised white dude with millions upon millions of dollars to do. It’s cruel to him and Lions fans that he’s a Detroit Lion.

 

That’s fair. I forgot about the weird comment to that reporter. He’s been a model citizen up here though, but only making $1 million on a one year deal does do a lot for your behavior.

 

If by Seattle you mean Seahawks, then hell no. But yes I did live there for 8 years until very recently.

 

I still like him and generally root for him (him, not the Pats), I don’t know if he ever apologized or anything but he seems decent enough since then.

 

Do any of you older people feel weird about how all your favorite players are younger than you? Like when you were growing up everyone was 10ish years older than you at least. I'm older than cam heyward and it just blows my mind.

Yes. It isn’t weird that there are players younger than me. But it’s weird that nearly ALL the players are younger than me now.

 

My favorite players are mostly younger than me. I am, in fact, an old.

more so feel old watching players like Michael Pittman and Antoine Winfield growing up, and now watching offspring play lol

 

it is slightly weird but I just mostly don’t think about it. Almost everyone looks like a baby who plays college football and I assume the NFL will feel similar for me in the next decade or so.
