    The rivalry is back on

    I want Dak tbh

How high does Dallas have to pick to grab a QB prospect to replace Dak?

There is maybe a generous interpretation of this “I’m just asking questions” stuff but Rodgers has said some dumb things about covid and questioned whether lockdowns were worth the unemployment numbers in the past so I’m going to say he’s being dumb here and downplaying risks while there are record cases in Wisconsin and like 60 people died today in his state.

It would be odd considering they didn’t have much interest in him when they chose Gase haha

    I'd rather have Mike Kafka.

Joe Douglas will probably go after someone like Wink Martindale or Nick Sirianni.

Anthony Weaver is a guy to keep an eye on because of his ties to Douglas in Baltimore.

I'm so numb to the Lions being awful that I don't even know who I want as a GM and Coach.

    there is one way out

Is Byron Leftwich gonna get any HC looks this offseason? Or is he still a few years off?

I think he's still a few years off just cause if you're going with an OC as a coach you gotta at least get Bienemey, Brady, and Daboll hired first. I'd definitely hire him over some other names I've been seeing tossed around.

I think Bowles probably gets another shot at hc before Leftwich.

I hadnt seen his previous comments questioning COVID, but he's making a valid point about the absurdity of NFL rules. Its what you end up with when you start with a haphazard process and then institute rules based on things that got bad press.

Like, Vance McDonald as his example; Ben is now in COVID protocols because of possible exposure on the plane/locker room...but Vance was in the huddle for 20 plays. Someone was face to face guarding him. None of those people get quarantined. Maybe the arm bands they have show who he sat next to on the sidelines and thats why a few other guys are out...but, the CDC guidance is 15 minutes of exposure in a 24hr window, surely thats the entire Steelers team if you count pre-game, post-game, flight, halftime, etc in the locker room.

The NFL system is built around "get players playable by Sunday"...not "minimize spread"...and even that is dumb luck because the NFL wanted to get rid of both routine testing and Sunday testing at various points and the NFLPA said no

This is the generous interpretation I was talking about and it’s possible this is what he was getting at but it wasn’t clear to me. In his previous comments during national quarantines he referenced unemployment and calls to suicide hotlines and compared stay at home orders to house arrest.
Here (and again I could be wrong) he seems to me to be lamenting not being able to sit next to teammates at lunch and dividers in the locker room. But the thing is those are indoor activities and those measures are protective. If he went further and made the point that the nfl is then not taking precautions where they can on the field and should be I get it, but his framing is that he should be able to talk to his teammate without a divider in the locker room because they are taking these other risks anyway. And to ask for the science behind it when the virus is so new and ever changing is bad framing as well. You shouldn’t use science to question certain precautions when we’re still trying to figure things out.

Yeah, in the end Im continually not surprised how small the world view of a lot of athletes are. They get more upset that their routine changes than anything. Though Im not sure Id have had Kirk Cousins on the list of "this shit is survival of the fittest" people.

Im actually more surprised that Ive seen players complaining about the little stuff vs the testing. Ive been tested multiple times and it kind of sucks; if I had to do it every day!?

solidifies to me that Cal McNair is pretty tone deaf.. there's no reason to allow this move now, and if there was you need to communicate why (ironically).. "Cultural fit" is way too vague, she was very good at her job.

Just another move in the past two years that makes no sense.. I'm glad the organization gave her the opportunity but the reason to let her go is silly.
