Also, and it will be brutal for a new GM to do, trading JJ Watt frees up the space to keep Will Fuller. Getting rid of both Johnson RBs and restructuring Cooks gives you the money to fix the O-line in free agency.

I mean, they'll never get back Hopkins which was a laughable mistake, but they can start to un-fuck things with those moves.

 

One guy I've seen mentioned that I like alot is Ed Dodds with Indy

That team has made some value moves that have gone under the radar, and that's the type of stuff that will have to be done to unfuck the cap plus build a more competitive roster in the short and long term

The defense is the biggest issue right now, its god awful

I wouldn't assume Eberflus is leaving. But I could very easily see the right team luring him away. That Colts HC hiring was a mess but thankfully they ended up with great coaches out of it.

Idk, on the one hand, that defense has looked awesome and has gotten a lot of press for being awesome.

On the other hand, no one likes defense-first head coaches any more and I think Wink Martindale would be my guess if only one DC got a HC job
