I do think the Steelers are in a crazy good spot rn. Probably my least favorite team but I love this Steelers team so much more than the old ones. I think I just hate Hines Ward.

There's a reason they changed their protocol to the "close contact" variation; because rather than assume the whole team has it (which is actually more likely), you can presumably keep playing games if only a certain position group is hit. Like, Packers can still play if they are missign RBs, Ravens can still play down a few CBs, etc.

So yeah, its about money and the appearance of doing something; as usual for the NFL

 

They had 47 carries for 265 yards yesterday, I don't know how much more you can expect a team to run than 47 times.
