I started keeping a photo album of my bike rides, if anyone wants to see some very amateur iPhone photography lmao... mostly just trying to document how pretty the rides are.

(i could instagram it but eh, I don’t feel like making a second account. The one for my band is enough lol.)

I’m kinda blown away by how bike friendly DC actually is - I didn’t really ride my bike when I lived here before. There’s seriously like 30 different trails in the suburbs, most of which connect to downtown DC, and the entire urban area has bike lanes on every major avenue.

One of my biggest pet peeves lately is half baked “leftists” acting high and mighty about not voting. Bragging about not voting is the most insecure projecting bullshit. No one gives you a trophy for not participating. Everyone has a choice but people really look stupid bragging about it on social media, when much more informed critics of American politics frequently acknowledge this election is an anomaly.

The people who actually organize understand that harm reduction and community support comes first before massive strikes and rebellions. But much like “armchair activist” being a thing, so are “recliner revolutionaries”. Easy to talk shit about other people’s political angles when you don’t actually fucking do anything.

While I think it’s important to read about Marxism and communism in good faith instead of blindly eating whatever our imperialist government tells us... you can’t just base ALL OF your political strategy in theory and ignore the context of the last 200 years
