I give Browns fans credit for being loyal despite the team being awful. Bengals fans are more fairweather but I don't blame them with how cheap & negligent the front office is.

The Browns at least get new hope every other year haha. The Bengals just kept trotting out Andy Dalton and praying he became elite all of a sudden.

Oh duh the Lions are my most hated team in terms of how much time I spend hating them and how intensely I hate them

The Ravens are the worst franchise in the nfl and I wish them nothing but ill fortune. The Steelers also suck.

Come on the Ravens aren’t the WORST franchise in the NFL haha

I do understand Browns fans feeling that way for sure. But just in terms of players and coaches I feel like the Ravens are more likeable than half the league

definitely more likeable than the Jaguars and their white-bread dad-joke socially-accepted-racism coaches.

Didn’t Ray Lewis help murder someone and just kept playing on to the hall of fame?

I never looked far enough into that case to know how concrete it was... did they have strong evidence that it was premeditated or that the other person was unarmed?

I consider murders in iffy neighborhoods a little bit differently from domestic abuse and sexual assault, in that it actually can be blurry whether a murder was self defense or not. If players have family ties to gangs or otherwise just have a lot of enemies back home who envy their success; things like that, that can very well lead to situations where some NFL players need protection and self defense requires lethal force. It’s easier to become a target when you have that kind of money and status. It’s also why I’ve never had a strong opinion on the Marvin Harrison murder.

It’s been a while but I remember reading about it and thinking it was murder because it was a fight that kind of sprawled from a club argument and the victims were stabbed to death. However, to your point they were acquitted on self defense grounds. But if I recall correctly it wasn’t like the victims pulled out knives so it was all very suspect to me.
Maybe what bothered me the most is I saw Ray asked about it and what he’d tell the families and he said something like it was gods plan which would fucking infuriate me if someone involved in my sons murder told me it was gods plan, and then he said he wouldn’t change anything because it made him who he is today. Just callous stuff if you ask me

Yeah and they literally hid the evidence. People who use self defense aren’t usually quick to hide the evidence they acted in self defense.

Yeah that’s pretty unnerving. Can’t argue with your reasoning to believe he’s was the one who escalated the violence

Also, Ray Lewis is genuinely one of the least likable humans. Like, whether he murdered someone or not is akin to deciding if -33 is warmer than -40.

Did the Ravens fuck up the Ray Rice situation or was that ALL on Roger and the front office? Feel like Baltimore should get some flack for that unless they legally couldn’t. I feel like they cut him ASAP after the video came out but not sure of that or how they acted / what they said while all of that was going on.

....you mentioned specifically the last super bowl, and I said yes that is true, BECAUSE of their bandwagon fans. Pats bandwagon fans were especially moronic that year so yeah that checks out.

Just because people hate the Pats doesn’t mean you don’t also have a ton of bandwagon fans everywhere? Two things can be true at once

If we use your logic and applied it to a similar Twitter data survey, I would bet 100% of the states would say they hate Trump.

However that obviously isn’t true, and doesn’t tell the whole story because life is hell

I mean, its weird to know that Aaron Hernandez and a few others are in jail for major crimes, but Ray Lewis and Marvin Harrison are walking down the street scott free despite super credible allegations they've murdered someone.

Throw this in the category of the Big Ben "summer in sketchy bars" bin where the team technically did what was right, but only in the PR sense after it was revealed the fucked up thing the player had done. In a just world, both guys are doing jail time instead...

Also, detail I did not know that makes it much more fucked up

Roethlisberger hired lawyer Ed Garland, who had previously defended Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis in his murder trial.

Yes and that led to a rule change and the Shazier helmet to helmet hit on Gio which led to a rule change and the blindside block on Keith Rivers by fucking Hines Ward which led to a rule change and Joey goddamn Porter being on the field instigating for some reason which led to a rule change and Mike Munchak pulling Reggie Nelson's dreadlocks on the sideline and Mike Tomlin's stupid sideline gaffe

Oh also the quarterback is a rapist

Imagine never having a concussion in his career, and he's gonna rush back from that one...why?

Dude's made $80mil in his career without counting for any merchandise/sponsorship money; he has to have made over 100 mil with that...why come back to play for any team, let alone that Dallas team
