There’s 3 promising guys who look like franchise talents imo. And then 3 more guys that are worth being tried out by teams who need to add QB talent but aren’t desperate this year.

QB class is pretty middle of the road to me this year assuming Tua declares. You’ve got the easy #1 pick QB in Burrow, the wildcard in Tua, the guys who physically look the part but don’t yet play the part in Herbert and Eason, the mid-round tier where someone might like something about a Hurts/Fromm/Love, and then a pretty uninspiring remaining pool

 

if Tua decides to stay in school or his medicals don't check out, I am not taking a QB in round 1 and my team might be the most "QB needy" team in the league

I wouldn't hate taking a flier on a guy like Eason or something but not in the first

its Burrow/Tua or bust in round 1 for me. If you can't get one of them, just take 3 other studs and build up for 2021 (when we also have a ton of picks)

 

Yea, I said the same thing in the middle of the season. It's an okay qb class but nothing special. As much as I love what burrow did this season, if you're the team picking no.1 how do you (as a shitty team that won 1-3 games) believe you can get this past season out of joe burrow again? I would love to see Carolina haul ass to move up and get him.

Next year’s class will have Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. It’s infinitely better.

Also call me crazy but I like Burrow more than Lawrence so far. Not that Lawrence isn’t ridiculously good & better than 99% of prospects. But Burrow is that 1%. He already has such an advanced understanding of anticipation and pocket presence that I haven’t seen from a college QB since Andrew Luck.

 

I also definitely get that Trevor Lawrence is a special case because we were talking about him all during last year's draft too. I just also think waiting for a QB can massively backfire and isn't an excuse to miss out on potential starters in later rounds if you really think Tua or Burrow or Eason or whoever is the best player on the board at the time you pick. Miami's excluded from that since they kinda have ammo out the ass and can move around wherever they want to setup for one specific guy years out if they want to.
