Have you guys heard of the "skull breaker" challenge that kids are doing on tik tok? Did this kind of shit exist when we were kids? Am I old man yells at clouds?

 

Absolutely, people just didnt have the ability to post video of it online and media outlets couldnt flip out that like, 100 people did something.

 

Don't know what the skull breaker challenge is but our generation loved to give ourselves eraser burns so we're not exactly batting a thousand either

I once punched a kid in the face 3 times because he kept shooting “hornets” at me (tightly folded tiny pieces of paper that you catapult at someone’s skin with a rubber band at point blank, actually does hurt). Like he did it every day in class for a week in 9th grade and then he did it while we were waiting for the bus and I fuckin punched his ass lol.

I was bullied as a kid so I was never down for that bullshit as a teenager. Cause kids would do it to you even more, just to push your buttons, if you weren’t “cool with it” sometimes.

 

My favorite dumb kids doing dumb shit story is my friend Andrew getting lit on fire during math class in middle school.

 

See: We've always been doing dumb shit...and if everyone filmd their hornet shooting, we'd have footage of a half dozen kids losing their eyes and a bunch more drawing blood, etc.

The slight difference with social media is THEN someone would make a bigger hornet or use card stock or some shit to go viral, and they'd cut someone's jugular. But like, I cant say that wasnt happening before, it just wasnt happening in my friend group.

 

My grandmother's brothers used to lay down in potholes and cover it with a sheet of plywood and have a competition to see how many cars they could let pass over before getting freaked out.
