The Colts’ bit is to fall ass backwards into a franchise QB

The Pats’ bit is to draft a QB in the 3rd, groom them as the QB of the future, and then trade them when it’s clear that Tom Brady is immortal and still is not retiring

Advantage for Tua: IND. You can have Jalen Hurts or someone like that who’s undervalued relative to some of these ToOlSy guys

 

Hopefully this description means that the Colts are out on Jordan Love, whose biggest weaknesses are those top two things

Ah yes, I was hoping for a less elusive, worse version of Brissett to be the QB of the future

 

I would take Shea Patterson over Jordan Love

 

If I see one more “scout” talk about Love’s ability to process...

He doesn’t read a damn thing and he still led the nation in INTs.

 

Colts Twitter is obsessed with Love as a first/early second round QB prospect for them and think he’s a HUGE UPGRADE over Brissett and I don’t get it

Every thread is like “here’s why Jordan Love isn’t as bad as his stat line suggests (1/10)” without having the nuance to be able to say that’s probably true by default because that stat line is u g l y but also that his season was bad enough against inferior competition to suggest he is not an elite NFL QB prospect

 

I just don't really love any of these qbs

Do not understand why the hype around him has continued. Especially in an atypically deep QB class

 

I didn’t. I saw Fromm flounder in a very important game last year and thought to myself “nah. That was his chance to prove it and he didn’t.”

 

Hence - improving

 

Yeah I just didn’t believe in him right there haha

But granted you can’t always tell that early if someone’s gonna be good.

This is not a deep QB class.

There's Joe Burrow and then there's a very, very wide gap between the next one.

 

It’s still “deep”. That just means it’s a class that’s not strong at the top. Several prospects worth working on to be had later though. That’s definitely not true of every draft. Some drafts have 0 QB that do anything haha
