Yep, I’d prefer a head coach that calls the plays and whose scheme actually puts players in positions to succeed instead of making things difficult on them and expecting them to bail out the scheme every play

Yeah Steichen was largely attributed with the change of direction for the offense in 2021. They were very pass-heavy early in the season when Sirianni was calling plays before becoming very run-heavy

Obviously, they became more pass-heavy again last season. I think there’s more to it than Sirianni or Steichen. The organization emphasizes the passing game. I largely agree with their belief, but there’s a healthier balance to be had than what they put out there this season under Sirianni and Johnson. I thought they had a great balance last season and playcalling has a lot to do with that. Steichen had his thumb on the pulse and largely had a great feel for the job
