Had no idea. I guess that excuses it. From a ratings perspective, I can't imagine matchups like Jacksonville/Tennessee do much to keep enthusiasm for the weekend schedule high.
Steve Smith, Terrell Suggs, Marshal Yanda, CJ Mosley and Ronnie Stanley all active today for the Ravens.
Yep. Though they dont get priority to pick who they get. SNF gets first pick, MNF 2nd, and CBS/FOX pick their national games...then TNF gets selected. And they prioritize division matchups over interesting pairings, which means we get games like CLE/BAL and JAX/TEN that look awful both on the field and on paper. Doesnt help that the game that looked great on paper (NE v HOU) sucked. Basically only CAR v NO and DAL v MIN left to save them
Now I'm kind of curious if any team has ever started 0-8 and finished 8-8, or at least what's the largest winning streak to finish a season by a team that didn't end up with a winning record.
Hilariously...this is the answer...twice 2006 Tennessee Titans...of Vincent Young fame. Started 0-5, got to 2-7, 6 game win streak to get to 8-7, and then of course, being a Jeff fisher team, they had to go 8-8 by losing their final game 2009 Tennessee Titans...start 0-6, win to 5-6, then end 8-8
While I don't think this Browns team is as bad as their record indicates, I wouldn't worry about them turning it around. haha
