Really it just makes me sad that this Jets team could legitimately win the SB if they had anyone halfway competent at QB
Speaking of the Jets and trying to win a super bowl, I saw that Schefter reported that the Jets tried to trade for Davante Adams
Really one of the most what ifs I can think of in recent years. Hate the guy but they would have been gnarly with Rodgers lol
Like, a world exists where Aaron Rodgers stays healthy and the Jets trade for Davante Adams at the deadline
It makes sense. Outside of Garrett the Jets wrs are doodoo. Though I’m sure Adams would have loved going from Jimmy G/whatever an Aidan O’Connell is to Zach lol
Zach has been a lot better lately The biggest issue is the offensive line. Even if the freak Achilles tear doesn’t happen, I don’t think Rodgers would’ve lasted behind it
He has been better. The bar was extremely low. I just don’t trust him in a high stakes playoff games whatsoever
Unreal how bad the raiders handled the trade deadline. They cost themselves easily 3-4 top 100 picks in the last couple of years….first by giving Carr a no trade and him turning down a trade to NO…and now with Adams and Jimmy g both having been ideal trades at the deadline since they’ll have no use in a new regime
I think people who are willing to completely write off the Dolphins at this point in the season are silly. They have their bye week coming up and another two months’ worth of games. I’m sure they’ll get healthier and improve where they need to (which, and I know you’ll know this, was the whole shtick about their defense). I think it was a little silly that some football filmgrinders who write columns and host podcasts thought the Dolphins were, like, revolutionizing offensive football in the first place. I think it’s fair to acknowledge the pattern that the Dolphins have provided us so far, but they’ve certainly earned the benefit of the doubt to improve from here. And that’s where I’m, personally, at on them. I think they’re a good team that’s capable of being great, but I’m concerned about how they look against legitimately good teams. Like I said, though, they still have time to fix that and I believe they will. I know you were commenting about the general media narrative as opposed to me specifically. I’m just sort of thinking out loud at this point.
