@Randall Mentzos ran it through the Playoff Predictor. I have us playing Tennessee in Week 18 for a spot in the playoffs.

 

I want to root for a team that wins games scoring 20 pts

 

Bruh if that happens I will be in Jacksonville for that game period

 

this is a can of worms you don’t want to open hahaha

 

The usual story I tell is them being the only team on our schedule, regular season AND AFC championship game, to beat us in 1999 when we had an elite 14-2 team that should’ve made the Super Bowl. They beat us all 3 times during a season when we looked unbeatable to the rest of the league.

I mean we played Miami in the wild card and literally ended Dan Marino’s career with a 62-7 rout. But then we face Tennessee and despite HAVING THE LEAD at halftime we let them score 20 unanswered points in the second half because we kept turning the ball over in annoying flukey ways. UGH. I feel like they ruined what could’ve been a childhood memory of the Jags winning the superbowl before they went on to SUCK for 18 of the next 22 years. We’ve been a cursed team since then. So that’s where the strong anti Titans bias started in my life.

but that was so long ago, the reason I still despise them is because they’ve continued to be the most annoying fucking team in the AFC south since then

they’re just always falling ass backward into wins. Tennessee games are almost always them blitzing constantly with no nuance and yet it somehow working like real life is Madden, not passing the ball, and playing very average football… but somehow catching other teams on a bad day where they don’t look like themselves. I mean Kelce dropped three passes yesterday lol. All their winning seasons are exactly like that, I rarely ever watch a Tennessee game feeing like “wow that was exciting they really earned that win”.

And the Jags are no exception, we are already bad usually but we really play our worst football against them on a regular basis too, even when we are good. We haven’t gotten that monkey off our back since 1999, 75% of the time it’s us looking like dog shit and TEN doing the bare minimum to win

 

Titans win by sucking all the talent out of their opponents lol
