How is Jacksonville still so bad? I think this season is pretty clearly the end of Gus Bradley

It's been a depressingly bad season

 

So, I seem to remember like two years ago when people were telling me that Bortles had improved his release.

That thing is still slow and ugly as fuck.

There was one week that was really good

 

They need to put his face by the dictionary word "regress"

Everything that I got excited about and talked up about him last year is totally, totally gone

 

I just can't handle the amount of good things that happened only to just get reversed in 2016.

I'm not even talking about just sports. This Jags season reflects my life season this year. I was hoping the Jags with a roster full of players I loved before they came to Jacksonville, would make me kinda forget about it and have something to enjoy and look forward to.

 

I never really watched him last year, but the numbers were there.

But his release is still very Tebow-esque, and that was one of the things I most disliked about him coming out. He had by far the worst one of the top five passers that year, though to be fair the other four were unusually good by prospect standards anyways

 

Garbage time Hurns yes!

 

So bogus. I dropped Hurns for Lee this week cause he tends to get more garbage time targets and "safe" passes when Bortles is trying not to throw another pick. I was desperate for a flex since my other WRS suck, Brown is on bye, and both McCoy and Charles are hurt.

What happens? Lee fumbles a punt while Hurns gets a TD. Awesome.

Hes also garbage on the road, I think he's only won two games ever?

 

Weirdest part is that, statistically, he is a way better QB on the road than at home. Yet he's 2-15 vs 8-12.
Like, 3-4% points better in completions, a whole 15pt higher passer rating, and a 30:18 TD to INT ration instead of 28:26 at home.

I was a big Bortles believer going into the season. Really wanted him to fall to me in fantasy as my backup. But I definitely expected him to take a step *forward* not backwards haha
