Like yeah we would definitely be doing better with Darnold RIGHT NOW but over the long term..? I want to see what the kid can do. Let him run this for a couple of years and see if we have something long term with him.

 

Lotta guys they probably couldn’t have signed if they brought Darnold back. You win a Super Bowl with a great team around a cheap QB or you have a top QB. It’s tough to win with a highly paid middle of the pack guy!*

Hard for me to even debate against anything at this moment in time where Darnold is lighting it up and McCarthy has played 2 games behind a makeshift OL and looked bad in 7/8 quarters. Obviously keeping Darnold feels like the right decision 6 games in with how it’s gone lol

However, still going to be patient with it and hope McCarthy returns next week and figures it out haha
