That’s the take I’ve seen on Twitter the most and I mostly disagree — the Titans did the inverse of that and it sucked too (Henry had 68 yards on 28 carries and just about every handoff to him was a dead play because the Colts were clearly defending the run and the most success they had by far was in the air and specifically throwing to the TEs and they abandoned that pretty early)

Playcalling is an easy scapegoat but throwing against the Titans’ secondary is the “correct” matchup to take advantage of, and that was exacerbated by the refs showing early that they were going to call holding on anything close on big chunk plays (which is how the Colts’ run and screen game works effectively)
