Why have they fallen apart this year? They’re a year removed from being seen as contenders. Feels like their roster is largely the same, albeit with some injuries.

 

But this has been Dak his entire career, not Mahomes having a weird down year (despite them winning their games anyway lol)

 

Dak has played at borderline mvp level before. He has flaws and they get blown out of proportion because he’s the quarterback of the Dallas cowboys and a lot of attention comes with that. He’s not some bum.

 

To be clear I’ve never called him a bum. Just that he’s never fixed his flaws. Or overcome them

 

Their running backs are Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliot and Dalvin Cook

Their wide receivers are Lamb and a bunch of no names

they don’t have a good roster

 

And like I’m saying, most quarterbacks can’t overcome the situation Dak is in this year

Past years, sure, you want more but only one team wins the Super Bowl lol

 

And I don’t think a different head coach would matter either

 

I just think expectations need to be adjusted.

There’s 32 starting quarterbacks every week, 1/2 of those guys are below average.

it’s really really hard to succeed in the nfl

 

actually was some mild promise from this panthers game offensively. i don't think we can ride with bryce or dalton next year but it wasn't cataclysmically bad like they have been the rest of the season minus the raiders game and how the defense has been all year. we're going to draft a QB - as we should - but I'm going to be bummed when hunter, johnson and carter are lighting it up next year for other teams.

 

Oh I agree on how few good/elite QBs there are. He’s in the tier below.

 

I think Dak is probably a top-10 QB in the league. Hes like a fancier Kirk Cousins where he’s good and puts up numbers but just doesn’t have that one last year the elites have.

 

I wonder how Dak would do on one of those good, but not great teams like the Falcons or Chargers.

 

Dak’s best chance at a ring would be a Flacco-like heater with a really good defense/supporting cast

 

I just went through and counted 15 or so teams where Dak would be an improvement on their QB, and their QB isn’t a promising young guy like Daniels or Caleb or Maye

 

HOW IS CEEDEE THAT WIDE OPEN LOL

 

he is no lower than 7th imo. there are QBs that have been better than him but no longer are and QBs that will almost certainly project to be higher. he's from kind of a weird era where there aren't a ton of other QBs that are truly his peers. i don't think you can win anything real with him but you're still going to win a lot more with him than with a lot of other QBs still active.

 

Dak is a purgatory QB, never great, never awful. Just keeps your team afloat and exit the playoffs early every year. That's the worse thing to have IMO.

 

Teams taking Dak and teams committing 200+ million to him is a big difference, I'm sure some desperate teams would but i wouldn't say anywhere near half the league

Herbert/Purdy/Dak are kinda next up imo. obviously stroud will probably surpass all three of them, along with a few others potentially, but putting them higher right now is absurd

 

Last year’s blueprint basically before that defense fell apart

 

anyways lost highway got me fucked up and now I can't sleep so I'm thinking about QB tiers this sucks

Last thing I do wanna say though is that you’ve described Jalen Hurts

 

Like Big Ben for his last 5-6 years, really. Good enough that you cant justify spending a 1st rounder on the replacement because if the D and supporting cast are good, you *can* win a SB. Not good enough to overcome the weaker roster.

Going .500 every year, never getting an elite impact player at the 15th pick, etc.
