Pretty soon news is going to break that it's not just CTE that NFL players develop. It has to wear on your cartilage and connective tissue in some way. I don't see non contact injuries like that just happening in regular life. Sure you might slip at work, but it seems to be an alarming rate in football specifically and not other sports.
