That's coward mentality especially with how that game went. They hadn't stopped the Titans offense since like the first quarter.

The sneak bubble was on the right, not the left. The weak link of the line right now is LG. Feliciano has been mostly awful through 6 games. Go right behind Daryl Williams and the road grader rookie at RT.

 

It's not coward mentality to think your team can regroup and be the better team. It's just not. You weren't on the goal line. If he picks up that first down you...still have to score for it to amount to anything better than just... kicking the field goal.

 

yeah i could see it being worth it if it was on the 1, but like, 1st and goal on the 3 yard line with 20 seconds left is ..... not a situation i want to voluntarily be in.

 

I would’ve gone for it 10/10 times if I’m Buffalo I just would’ve called a better play. QB sneaks are really LEAST effective near the goal line, but stopping Josh Allen on a rollout pass play design would’ve been harder, especially one that had a FB or TE leak to the back side.

but fuck overtime I’m not gonna put the game in the hands of a coin toss. My team hasn’t been stopping Henry so going to OT and them winning the toss is the last thing I want, just gonna exhaust my team worse for next week

 

If that was like a 20-17 game and Henry doesn’t have 3 TDs maybe I go to overtime. But 34-31, defense is tired of trying to stop a 250 pound truck, their runningback is only gonna keep getting more momentum… no thanks, I’ll win or lose on the 3 yard line right there

 

I would've gone for it because I was playing vs AJ Brown in fantasy and didn't want him to get OT snaps

The playcall was ass though and yeah in reality I prob would've just kicked the FG

 

Except with hindsight we know it was the wrong call.

 

Like rule 1 of coaching is "How do I not lose this play?" You never want to set yourself up to lose a game when a different path for winning it is still in play.
