The announcers literally always get the play wrong lol. That was either a cover 6 or a cover 3 cloud which means it was the job of whoever was in the deep third (safety in cover 6; sideline corner in cover 3) to stay on his side, not the LBs job to get 30+ yards deep. The LB was where he was supposed to be, which was to guard the intermediate sideline. The DB whose job was on the sideline got pulled inside by another route in the end zone, that went over the middle, and that’s what caused a late TD once the wheel route got all the way down there.

too often the announcers just look at the guy closest to him before he was open instead of actually trying to recognize the job of each defender

 

We need to get Derrick Henry off the poverty titans, get this man on the chargers and form the tallest offense of all time
