Stafford takes responsibility after every game. Dude is a leader and busts his ass for our shit franchise
I’m Extremely Mad Online and really need to go to sleep, I’m sorry if I went too aggressive today I’m just mentally drained from a stupid football team
Was gonna say it seemed very out of character for him. Glad to know it was just someone trying and failing to be funny
Imagine being a NFL player and putting your body on the line to help your team win and having it end like that Or like if the rules were reversed being Geronimo Allison and seeing your hard work as a player you took that massive hit for end up reversed cuz a ref saw hands where there were no hands Shit needs to change asap and it wont, there's no way
I honestly feel for the Lions fans but it's hilarious how mad the Bear and Viking fans are online tonight
To me, this means these kinds of plays are like holding in that they happen on probably every single play of the game. I don’t know how I feel about them both being called at those times though. I’m not gonna day rigged or anything but it sure does suck that they were called.
It’s comical at this point how many losses the Lions can pinpoint to really bizarre officiating. I also think that when you play so many tight games you’re going to be much more prone to finding a specific play call going out of your favor to blame for the L. If they could have just put the Packers away with converting one of those field goals into touchdowns, this conversation likely doesn’t happen. It’s unfortunate and I wish the league could reel in the poor officiating, but I also wish the Lions could just get it together and end up heading into the final minutes with a sizable lead.
Lmao I have literally never seen a call to where it was the “neck”, but okay refs. Try to save face and seem like you did a good job. Get ready for other lineman to start selling like that when someone grabs them by the jersey
After watching them again, I can see why the first one was called because his hand does slip and push up against his neck/head for about half a second but the RT oversold the hell out of it. The second one was just blatantly wrong and he never touches his head or neck. Neither should’ve been called and this is a scenario where penalties causing first downs should be able to be reviewed.
I feel like I agree with this but also we should just be able to rely on our officials to not completely blow things at this level Like we can add safeguards but I feel like it'd just result in more "well we're not gonna change what our guys call" bullshit from Riveron Fire everyone between Clete Blakeman's grunts and Roger Goodell, it's systemic at this point and the people not addressing it need to go
Sure, I totally agree. But at the same time, I’d rather wait an extra minute or two every now and then for the right call to be made.
Fucking kill me before more things become reviewable. Every second a ref is on tv makes me want to peel off my skin one inch at a time.
Wrong calls are a part of sports. There's ZERO chance of getting every call right, and every rule/review they put in place just exposes holes somewhere else. I wish refs were better, but spending more and more and more time watching slow-motion replay to determine just when one arm made contact with another is unbearable to me.
At this rate nothing is going to fix this problem, I mean coaches are fucking afraid to challenge a PI call because they know the officials won't get it right.
Exactly...so why make the rest of the product worse along the way in a useless effort? Like, sometimes the human element of the game sucks. Oh, well.
Like, it's so wildly rare for a blown call to be the #1 reason a team loses a game. It's just the easiest excuse. Even the Saints Ram game last year, the Saints had so many opportunities to win that game before and after the blown PI call.
