I’m not arguing that at all. I’m saying that “wanting Kap so bad” makes more sense if you’re talking about your support for him politically. If you actually think he’s going to come in and be a very good replacement for Rodgers, that’s a stretch in my opinion. As a Niners fan, I was ready to move on from Kaepernick before last season and the kneeling. Now, saying Kaepernick isn’t a good QB anymore is somehow a political statement. Yes, he deserves a chance. Yes, he’s better than at least a handful of QBs. But I’m not going to just change my mind about his current skills as a show of solidarity.
