Depends on the severity. If they’re doing an MRI they’re likely just making sure there is no other soft tissue damage. The x-ray would show the AC sprain if there was any significant separation of the joint. I saw the average time off for low grade is about 17 days for QBs. So he’s likely to miss 1-2 weeks at minimum.
my understanding is the defense can't do the same "push one player into another player" move. With the primary cited reason being safety concerns. So why is it okay for offense to do it?
Pretty sure defense is not allowed to shove players in to the line for things like kick blocks. Not sure if that applies to trying to stuff a run though.
This Jets defense is absolutely atrocious this week. They’ve been starting slow every game but Denver should not be making it look this easy on them. Glad Hackett decided to go back to not stretching the field at all again, just swings and handoffs. Jets football baby
well if there is a legitimate safety concern with the move, then they shouldn't be allowed to do it. Players should not be put in a "There is a 90% chance you'll score if you do this play, but a 5% chance you break a leg" situation. While there are inherent risks with the game, I don't think players should be asked to take on significant additional risk just in pursuit of getting a win. Human health and safety is ultimately more important than Ws. And if there isn't a legitimate safety concern... what exactly is so different about this move than when the defense does similar things that makes the defensive version so much more dangerous?
man i don't want to sit mahomes against the defense that gave up 70 but i don't know if i can do another week of this with stroud on my bench
Absolute braindead management for the jets, how does this happen to someone seemingly every week in professional football
