Hilariously, Lamar’s receivers have blown several huge plays for him. That’s like his first genuinely horrible play
I thought they were alright from 2019-2021. To me, from the outside, they’ve been bad since last year. I mean, they went to the playoffs in Mac’s first season. Yeah, they got absolutely blown out, but they were not a bad team in 2021.
I agree with not wanting Bill to GM but how do you demote him without pissing him off not sure that’s possible
I also think this is important to mention. There’s no way they could just demote Bill like that and expect the culture within the organization to be fine.
I guess that’s fair. They were Mid in 2020 and 2021 and hilariously bad in 2022 and 2023. So then I look at “do they at least have any young talent I’m excited about and like, it’s just this draft class. Most of the last two are already gone. They at most desperately need an actual GM finally.
Yep. 100%. He’s not handing over the reigns. He wants to coach his guys. So you have to ask yourself is bill the coach more valuable than Bill the GM is harmful.
Bill and the team are certainly worthy of criticism after what the product has been during the Mac era. I think Bill deserves a few more years. I’d be surprised if they don’t have a new QB in 2024 and they do have a ton of cap space to make moves. If the team still continues to look like shit, then yeah maybe we can start calling for Bill’s job
Of course they would. As a coach he’s still top tier. And if he goes to the chargers Herbert actually has something to work with. But what’s happening now in New England clearly isn’t working. Let him chase Shula and us get to the work we actually need to do.
Is scoring the TD the right play there for Pittsburgh? Side at the 2 and they can drain the clock to zeros and win with the FG. That feels like better odds than giving Baltimore a minute and two time outs to drive for a TD
