Pickett needs to learn that he is not a scrambling QB lol you’re not gonna gain anything by trying to do that dude
It’s actually usually a bad thing on interior to sprint right away instead of reading the gap and then bursting through “slow to, fast through” is the phrase when I say speed runs, that’s me loosely referring to stuff that’s not up the middle. Outside zones, stretches, tosses, off tackle etc
RBs aren't getting paid because there are a large plethora of speedy RBs for the taking in the draft or still on rookie contracts.
Yes but you also shouldn't take them in the 1st or early 2nd. But you also shouldn't take them Day 3.
All I could find was a stat that said in 2019 only four RBs under 215 topped 1000 yards It’s changing but not much. The average weight of a RB now is 215, but that includes every change of pace back, and those usually tend to be smaller. I’d argue ideal weight for a starting RB thwt isn’t exceptionally fast, is 220-225. If you are exceptionally fast or elusive you can get away with less
The stats he put up last year were so many empty calories. Was never busting off big plays or showing dynamism as a runner or receiver. Just benefitted from pristine circumstances
