Much better to force Wilson to drive, get a two point conversion, and then get lucky and win in OT than simply force Wilson to drive which everyone knows he certainly can do

Go up against a normal QB, going for it probably isn't a bad call. But against someone like Wilson its pretty clearly a terrible call

 

They were deep enough in Seattle territory that a 94 yard drive in the rain with only one timeout is a tough ask even for Russ. Kicking the field goal would be giving the ball back to Wilson too, even with an eight point lead. I'd still probably kick, but doing that vs. gaining one yard & winning the game is a tough call.

Personally I'd rather have a QB that didn't get themselves in a situation where they needed to complete a 4th down conversion against a 1-3 team in order to win but hey, if that is what you want to pretend makes MVP quaterback, its a free country.
