Theres also the fact that only a couple teams COULD compete. No one had the Eagles winning or the Falcons going. Vegas went to the cup in their first year. The lack of parity in the NBA is dreadful. You HAVE to have a star to compete and you have to have multiple stars to compete and win

 

The NFC North outside the Bears is a mess.

 

For the Eagles to only lose that game by two and be in it at the last minute is a miracle in itself. Minnesota controlled that game almost from the opening kick.

Eagles with a win on Thursday will be on track to win a bad division but HFA or even the second seed is probably out the window.

not a fan of that play call from the Rams. seems way too risky to give the seahawks great field position. Reminds me of that play the colts ran in OT last week. But I guess it worked out.

 

That’s true and I understand why it’s unattractive to some people. I’m still not sure whether it sucks or not that the 2010 Giants were super bowl winners, but that’s show biz baby

go for it and you miss and you give them enough time that you'll probably lose

punt, and they gotta go a long way with no timeouts.

I don't think going for it was statistically the right call. Sure, having 100 seconds left instead of 20 makes it better than the colts call, but it still seems too risky to me.

So you think the odds of converting on 4th and 1 are better than the odds of stopping a team from driving 70 yards in 1:40 and no time outs?

you might be right. I'm sure there is statistics out there that could back you up. But aggressive play calling is just as bad as conservative play calling if you don't actually have the numbers to back up the fact that you're making the right decision.

 

they wouldnt have needed 70 yards. They were down 2 points. THey only needed a FG.

Just now saw the play that got Bennett called for RTP, that’s fucking absurd

 

Apparently it wasn't related to the new roughing the passer rule changes. It's from the 2008 Brady roughing the passer rule change in that players aren't supposed to dive at or target lower legs of the quarterback. In slow motion you can tell he didn't do that and it should have been called, but I understand why they threw the flag watching it in real life speed.

That's why challenges for penalties to be reviewed should be added.
