the easy solution is “don’t be a dumbass and hold onto the ball until you’re in the end zone” but I strongly dislike that rule

something like an excessive celebration or the delay of game penalty they give for spiking the ball feels a lot more appropriate in context than a turnover + touchback being the result of letting the ball go a half of a step too early on a clear scoring play

or even just not a random change in possession because the NFL arbitrarily changes the fumble rules when it’s near the end zone?

 

Couldn't more firmly disagree, and truly believe the penalty should be more harsh, not less lol
