as a person who often gets biased about the Jags and regrettably defended the team at first when they’ve done shitty things, I just wanna say it’s not a slight against you as a fan that we are all (rightfully) criticizing the Dolphins. I feel like this is a situation where it makes much more sense to just accept that this is a bad look and to not get carried away trying to find some angle that doesn’t look as bad. It’s not your fandom we are bothered by, it’s the fact you’re doing free PR for a team that obviously did something wrong and made a call that you had nothing to do with.

I promise no one is saying “Brandon sucks he roots for the Dolphins”, I mean you don’t see us shaming the Browns fans in here, it’s not THEIR fault. So I’m asking you to not take this very well deserved criticism of the team as a personal slight against you. I promise it’s fine to be like “yeah I’ve been a fan my whole life and I dont see that changing but I do not condone / support what happened, that was unacceptable” and adjust your opinion of the staff from that starting point

I said (over and over) that he probably should not have been allowed to be let back in the game last week. On this board. My point is that from everything the league and the media are saying, the Dolphins followed the protocols correctly. If this investigation that the league is doing reveals that they did NOT follow the protocols, then yeah sure have a fucking field day for all I care. And deservedly so. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the league for having shit protocols (I Am talking RIGHT now).

Like I said, you can criticize them as much as you want. Nothing I will say will change that...especially a few people on here. Which is fine. I feel like more than anything it's good to err on the side of the player who definitely could've died when it comes to snap judgment calls and maybe wait before jumping straight to the team's defense. Above all else in here that's what comes across as uncomfortable to me, just HOW fast.

All I’m gonna say is people in high pressure positions often take the heat and get fired (and appropriately criticized) for not knowing when to step up and make an executive decision. Sure they followed the protocols but the coach can bench anyone for any reason he pleases. The protocols are CLEARLY not enough if this can be allowed to happen, why was everyone in the world except the Miami Dolphins aware of that fact? Everyone with two eyes saw the tell tale signs of a serious concussion on both occasions. I would’ve liked to see him say “okay, gotta beat the bengals with a backup quarterback. Challenge accepted. Next man up baby” and that IS what good coaches in the NFL do when they think their QB has a fuckin head injury

 

If I saw my franchise QB wobbling and then he played the next game and got concussed again I'd be pissed at my team for letting them play regardless of clearing protocol.. just let the man sit a game atleast.
