Yeahhhh downplaying a concussion is a bad look

I like McDaniel, but he looks totally in over head his head right now. Like, his comments were so out of touch and it’s obvious he was more concerned about protecting the organization rather than his player.

 

I was told McDaniel was an improvement over Flores because he actually gave a shit about his players

 

At the end of the day, the NFL needs to make serious changes to their concussion protocol. You can’t go in the locker room and be cleared to play within 10 minutes. Concussion symptoms can take days to kick in so it’s irresponsible by the NFL / team med staff to do a quick examination, ask some questions, and say “good enough!”

 

This is where the NFLPA being as strong as a wet paper bag really hurts the players. If this was the MLB players union, or the NBA union, we'd see the players threatening to strike this weekends games until the process is updated. Instead, the NFLPA will do nothing, lose a lawsuit making them even weaker, and then probably go even softer on the process in the next CBA update

 

Surely there is enough money floating around the league to at least do something sensor based in the helmets to measure impact/whiplash and make the process less insane

Man, I do, but I’m still taking this as a personal attack made against me

 

I’m not going to act like I see and hear everything Eagles related. I certainly don’t listen to talk radio. But from what I’ve seen and heard this week, this is what I’ve gathered from this week’s matchup:

Eagles: “This is gonna be a real test for this team. Jags are not a cakewalk and should be taken seriously.”

Jaguars: “If we win, we’re stealing the statue of Doug”

And it cracks me up lmaooooo

 

So, let’s rush Mac out there on one leg so he can take a beating? Not exactly what I wanna see after last night’s shit show.

I was honestly shocked last night. The amount of times the replay and the visuals of Tua’s hand were shown was disgusting. The dudes suffering a brutal injury and you have the audacity to show that shit over and over. Amazon and the NFL deserve major criticism for that broadcast and how that was handled.

 

They keep showing it on espn as they talk about it

 

Yeah, I threw on Get Up this morning and within like 2 minutes they started showing the injury. Give it a rest cmon.

 

That’s totally fucked. I haven’t watched any coverage since last night was tough enough.

 

The close up on his hands was really the point where I thought damn this is a bridge too far

 

The Tua injury reminded me back when Tom Savage had a similar response to a hit and I think he was allowed back in the game

None of these teams really care about concussions, it definitely does cloud this weekends games for me and any enjoyment from them

Just doesn't feel right
