2000 where he inherited a really bad team
2008 where he went 11-5 with Matt Cassell
2020 where he went 7-9 after losing Brady during the plague.

 

Brady gonna ride out his Bucs contract and then in 2026 at 49 gonna come back to the Pats on a one year deal and win another SB then retire. Book it.

It was also after they went 16-0…. I mean the 11-5 and losing the division isn’t the argument, the top defenses is a better argument. But honestly the 20 year run of winning it does look like Brady was a huge a part of that. I don’t know how you can separate the two though.

Even if you’re gonna kick you have a timeout and can at least TRY to generate a jump from the Bucs or something and see if you can get a free 1st and close the distance a bit. I dunno. Maybe I’m dumb (I am) but I just can’t see how it could be the right decision to go straight to the kick there

 

Of course he was but pretending like Belichick is JAG at this point is kinda a joke when you look at what an average coach in the NFL looks like.

 

Maybe the thinking is they’re expecting it to be a draw kinda tactic so going straight to the kick actually limits the rush?
